$3,841,273This Lotto 6/49 winner plans to return to his native Côte‑Nord

Montréal, July 14, 2022 — Capitale-Nationale resident Francis Boulianne took home $3,841,273 in the June 15 Lotto 6/49 draw with a ticket he purchased on lotoquebec.com. The newly minted multimillionaire, who celebrated his birthday just a few days before the draw, plans to retire and realize many dreams—like buying a home in his native Côte-Nord, where he’d like to return and live. He also intends to take his significant other on a trip to Hawaii and on a Caribbean cruise.

Highlights

  • It was only after his work day that Boulianne, who bought his ticket on lotoquebec.com, was able to call back the employee who’d tried to contact him. Just like she instructed him to do, he checked the lotoquebec.com email informing him of the prize he’d won.
  • Once he saw the amount—a whopping $3,841,273—on his phone screen, the lucky winner’s reaction was instant: “I got some kind of a chill and my hair stood on end. Tears crept up on me. Even now, I’m overcome with emotion,” he confided to host Julie Houle.
  • Boulianne, accompanied by his partner of many years and family members, picked up his cheque at the Quebec City prize claim office.
  • There were two winners of the $7,682,546 Lotto 6/49 jackpot on June 15: one person in Ontario; and the other, Boulianne, who purchased his selection on lotoquebec.com.
