Célébration 2022 GalaMario Moniqui, from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, wins $1,000,000!

Montréal, January 9, 2022 — Salaberry-de-Valleyfield resident Mario Moniqui won $1,000,000 during the televised Célébration 2022 gala, which aired Sunday evening on TVA.

Luck was on Mario’s side during the qualifying draw, which had 44 finalists from different regions throughout Québec. The winning ticket was bought at the Dépanneur Marie-Rose, 200 Rue Marie-Rose, in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

“I’m ecstatic! This is something our whole family will benefit from, and we can now reduce our working hours a bit. We’d like to find a place by the water,” said the lucky winner of the grand prize.

For her part, Wendy Larose, a Cantley resident, won $100,000, just like Isabelle Le Siege and Benoit St-Ours, a couple from Saint-Lin-Laurentides.

It should be remembered that, this year, those who won an entry for the televised draw were able to watch the thrilling draws virtually, from the comfort of their homes.

Julie Ringuette and Pascal Morrissette, one of Québec’s favourite couples, had the pleasure of hosting this new edition of the Célébration gala, along with Sébastien Benoit, at the Théâtre du Casino du Lac‑Leamy in Gatineau. The show was centred around the theme Une histoire de cœur (A story of the heart), featuring Brigitte Boisjoli, Queenie, Dashny, Michèle Richard, Vincent Vallières, Jay Scott, Marjo, Alicia Moffet, Geneviève Leclerc and the acrobatic duo Les Poline.

Several prizes were also drawn for ticket holders at home, including a $5,000,000 grand prize and five $1,000,000 prizes. The winning numbers are listed at loteries.lotoquebec.com/en/home.
