Montréal, April 12, 2022 — Two prizes were won by Montérégie residents on April 1. Isabelle Roy won a Maxmillions prize worth $1,000,000, in the Lotto Max draw, while Olimpia Chioibasu Iacob and Florian-Sorin Iacob won $25,000 in the Extra draw. The winners say they plan to invest the money and travel!

She won $1,000,000 with Lotto Max and her relatives thought it was an April Fool’s prank! 

While visiting her mother, Isabelle was reminded to check her Lotto Max ticket. So, she checked the ticket via her cell phone, and the number of zeros that popped up made her question how much she’d won: “$100? No... $1,000? No... $1,000,000!” she exclaimed. When she told her friends and family that she’d won $1,000,000 in the Lotto Max draw on the first of the month, they thought it was an April Fool’s prank! The newly minted millionaire says she plans to invest the money to secure her children’s future.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Provi-soir on Boulevard Marie-Victorin, in Candiac.

These Extra winners are planning to take a couple’s trip

As for Olimpia Chioibasu Iacob and Florian-Sorin Iacob, they had a stroke of luck and won $25,000 in the April 1 Extra draw. Florian-Sorin was the first to learn the good news. With their windfall, the couple say they plan to treat themselves to a trip.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Pasquier in Delson.
