Montréal, September 30, 2021 – In recent weeks, Loto-Québec has awarded two $1,000,000 prizes, one $375,000 prize and one $100,000 prize to residents of Laval. These four lucky winners took home a total of $2,475,000 playing the Lotto 6/49, Banco and Québec Max.


Adelino Mendonca: $1,000,000 – Lotto 6/49

Adelino quickly went from disappointment to elation when he checked his selections for the September 18 Lotto 6/49 draw. At first, he was disheartened because his ticket had only one of the winning numbers. But then he was overjoyed when he realized the winning numbers for the guaranteed prize matched those on his ticket. The winner rushed to get his ticket validated before sharing the news with his wife. But he wanted to save the surprise for his two children, with whom he plans to share his winnings. He also wants to treat himself to a new car.

Then she went to bed, thinking she hadn’t won anything. The next morning, when she checked again, she noticed that the winning numbers of the guaranteed prize looked familiar. Indeed, they matched the ones on her ticket. When she checked her profile on the gaming website, she discovered she was in fact a millionaire. The winner chose to share her prize with a few friends.

Mathieu Beaudoin: $375,000 – Banco

When Mathieu learned that a member of his family had won a prize with Banco, he decided to try his luck with this lottery too. He won $375,000 with the ticket he bought for the August 20 draw. The winner chose an 8-number wager and saw his prize triple thanks to the Turbo option. He plans to use his winnings to buy a house and a car, and to make some investments.

The winner grabbed for his cell phone to check his ticket again, this time using the Lotteries app. Pek Ya intends to use his $100,000 prize to pay for the home renovations he was planning.
