Easing of public health measuresQuébec casinos and gaming halls: A seamless and still highly entertaining experience

Montréal, November 16, 2021 — Québec casinos can now ease some of the public health measures that have been put in place in the last few months, in accordance with the latest public health guidelines. As a result, gaming locations are gradually bringing back their range of games, and bookings are no longer required to visit them.

“With the easing of these restrictions, we can offer our customers a more seamless and still highly entertaining experience. The health and safety of both staff and customers remains our priority, and we’re committed to maintaining the highest standards in this regard,” says Kevin Taylor, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of Casinos and Gaming Halls.

The following easing measures are being taken:

  • Gradual return of gaming options (varies by casino and based on customer traffic)
  • Dancing allowed
  • Possibility of standing in bars
  • Increase in the number of customers allowed at gaming tables
  • Reopening of the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal and the Théâtre du Casino du Lac-Leamy
  • Removal of the customer registry at casino entrances
  • Gradual removal of plexiglass (sneeze guards) at gaming tables
  • Removal of some plexiglass in slot machine areas
  • Withdrawal of capacity limits
  • Gradual removal of temporary walls dividing the casinos into sections (Montréal and Lac‑Leamy)
  • Improved hours (varies by casino and gaming hall)

Some measures will remain, including showing your vaccination passport and photo ID, and wearing a mask or face covering indoors (except when eating and drinking).

Please note that customers wishing to enjoy Québec casinos on December 31 and January 1 will have to use the online booking tool to ensure they have a spot at the casino. This will allow us to offer a fun and safe experience to all visitors.
