Ann MacDonald appointed Chair of Loto-Québec’s Board of Directors

Montréal, June 23, 2021 — The Québec Cabinet has appointed Ms. Ann MacDonald as Chair of Loto-Québec’s Board of Directors. As of June 27, she will take over from Ms. Hélène F. Fortin, who has held the title since 2008.

“The Board joins me in congratulating Ann MacDonald on her appointment. Ms. MacDonald has been serving on Loto-Québec’s Board of Directors since March 2019 and has been putting her skills and strategic vision to work for the corporation ever since,” said Loto-Québec President and CEO Jean-François Bergeron.

A graduate of HEC Montréal in business administration, Ms. MacDonald is also a graduate of the Project Management Institute of Pennsylvania and Université Laval’s Collège des administrateurs de sociétés. During her 17 years at Bombardier Transportation, she successively held director and senior director positions in the areas of project management, sales, business development, communications and public affairs, and the positions of vice-president of sales and business development and vice-president of communications and public affairs. She was also a senior advisor at VIA Rail for the train fleet renewal program before becoming BONE Structure’s Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Ms. MacDonald has been a member of numerous forums and associations, including the Conference Board of Canada and the Canadian Urban Transit Association. She currently chairs the Board of Directors of the CHU Sainte-Justine and sits on the Board of Aéroports de Montréal, where she also chairs the Development and Innovation Committee.

“I would also like to thank Hélène F. Fortin for her dedication to the Corporation. The rigour with which she applied best corporate governance practices is exemplary. She also extended the same unwavering support to each of Loto-Québec’s presidents,” added Jean-François Bergeron.
