COVID-19: Red Level AlertCertain Loto-Québec activities temporarily suspended, including those at the Casino de Montréal and Salon de jeux de Québec
Montréal, September 29, 2020 — Following the Québec Premier’s press conference on September 28, and in keeping with its commitment to abide by the COVID-19 restrictions issued by the government, Loto-Québec will be temporarily suspending several of its activities in Greater Montréal, Chaudière-Appalaches, and a portion of the Capitale-Nationale region.
Starting October 1 at 12:01 a.m., Loto-Québec will be:
- Closing the Casino de Montréal
- Closing the Salon de jeux de Québec
- Closing its video lottery terminals (VLTs), and suspending network bingo and Kinzo in Greater Montréal, Chaudière-Appalaches, and the Capitale-Nationale region (with the exception of Charlevoix and Portneuf)
These measures will remain in effect until October 28 inclusively.
Lottery sales, which are not impacted by these new COVID-19 restrictions, will continue at all retail outlets. All the other establishments, i.e. the Casino de Charlevoix, the Casino du Lac-Leamy, the Casino de Mont-Tremblant, the Salon de jeux de Trois-Rivières, the Hilton Lac-Leamy and the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, will remain open. In all other Québec regions, VLTs will remain operational, Kinzo activities will carry on, and network bingo will be offered in the evening only.
At this time, these temporary measures are necessary to protect everyone’s health and safety. Loto-Québec urges the public to exercise caution, particularly by limiting their travel between regions and following public health guidelines.
