Highlights

  • Richard and Diane, who’ve been married for 44 years, play the lottery regularly.
  • Diane is particularly fond of scratch tickets, which win her nice sums of money on a regular basis. “But never this big!” she exclaimed.
  • Richard was driving when his wife scratched the ticket and suddenly asked him to pull over to the side of the road.
  • She’d just scratched off number 46, meaning they’d won $10,000.
  • It was only once Richard had stopped the car that Diane scratched the multiplier box and saw "200X."
  • The couple initially made a miscalculation and thought they’d won $200,000.
  • It was only when they got to the retailer did the winners realize they had pocketed “$2,000,000 instead,” the store owner told them!
  • Now multimillionaires, they say they plan to finish paying off their mortgage and spoil their children and grandchildren.
