COVID-19: Red Level AlertCertain Loto-Québec activities temporarily suspended, including those at the Casino du Lac-Leamy

Montréal, October 10, 2020 — Due to the evolution of the pandemic in the Outaouais region, and in keeping with its commitment to abide by the COVID-19 restrictions issued by the government, Loto-Québec will be temporarily suspending several of its activities in Gatineau and the regional county municipality of Collines-de-l’Outaouais.

Starting Sunday, October 11, i.e. tonight at 12:01 a.m., Loto-Québec will be:

  • Closing the Casino du Lac-Leamy and its restaurants
  • Closing its video lottery terminals (VLTs) in Gatineau and the regional county municipality of Collines-de-l’Outaouais

Starting Monday at 11 a.m., Loto-Québec will be:

  • Closing the Hilton Lac-Leamy Hotel

A reminder that the Casino de Montréal, Salon de jeux de Québec, Salon de jeux de Trois-

Rivières, and network bingo are all temporarily closed. The same goes for VLTs and Kinzo in the Greater Montréal, Chaudière-Appalaches, Capitale-Nationale (with the exception of Charlevoix) and Vallée du St-Laurent regions.

Lottery sales, which are not impacted by these new COVID-19 restrictions, will continue at all retail outlets. The Casino de Mont-Tremblant, Casino de Charlevoix and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu will remain open. In all the other Québec regions, VLTs will remain operational and Kinzo activities will carry on.

These temporary measures are necessary to protect everyone’s health and safety at the present time. Loto-Québec urges the public to exercise caution, particularly by limiting their travel between regions and following public health guidelines.
