Montréal, October 26, 2020 — On October 7, Bill Petersen, a Montérégie resident, took home $174,361 playing Mega Pots Mega-X on lotoquebec.com.

In summary

  • Game: Mega Pots Mega-X
  • Prize: $174,361
  • Win date: September 22, 2020
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montérégie

  • One Wednesday morning, Bill woke up earlier than usual and immediately went to see if the Mega Pots Mega-X progressive jackpot had been won. He’d played the game the day before, hoping to win the whopping sum. Seeing that it still hadn’t been won, he tried his luck at the game again.
  • In the last round of the Lucky 7 bonus, he saw three pot symbols pop up. “I screamed and ran to wake up my son. I told him, ‘You have to come see this!’” Bill had just won $174,361.
  • The lucky winner told us that even though he can’t afford to stop working, his windfall will allow him to pay off debts and buy a cottage. In any case, the Montérégie resident will be celebrating his birthday on October 16 with a nice cheque! Lucky him!
