COVID-19Expiry dates extended for certain lottery tickets
Montréal, April 7, 2020 – In light of the measures Loto-Québec put in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, including the closing of its prize claim centres, the government corporation is extending the expiry date of certain lottery tickets.
As such, the expiry date of tickets for draw-based lottery games, instant games and sports betting sold by Loto-Québec that were set to expire between March 17 and September 17, 2020 inclusively will be extended by six months, giving ticket owners more time to claim their prize. Draw-based lottery tickets and sports betting tickets typically expire one year after the draw or event, while expiry dates for instant tickets are indicated on the Corporation’s website loto-quebec.com.
Owners of all winning tickets will be able to claim their prize as soon as Loto-Québec’s prize claim centres reopen or the retail sale of lotteries resumes.
