On his way to the grocery store, Réal found a $10 lottery ticket on the ground. Thinking this might be a good omen, he decided to buy a Lotto 6/49 ticket, and his spouse did the same. However, Lady Luck decided he would be the big winner.
-
“My spouse could have easily become the millionaire. In any case, we’ll be sharing the prize,” said Réal.
-
His spouse was very emotional, but he remained calm. As he arrived at Loto-Québec’s head office to claim the prize, reality set in and he admitted that he had butterflies in his stomach.
-
In addition to sharing the prize with his spouse, Réal plans to give a portion to each of his children and get a new car. For the remainder, he will stay sensible and pay off the mortgage and make investments.
