Montréal, January 10, 2020 — Patrice Perreault got lucky playing Lotto 6/49. The Montérégie resident snagged the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize in the June 1 draw.

  • “That can’t be! There are too many zeros, the machine must be broken!” he exclaimed when he went to check his Lotto 6/49 ticket at a retailer.

  • Sceptical, he went back home to check the draw results on Loto-Québec’s website, lotoquebec.com.

  • That’s when he learned that a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize from a Lotto 6/49 draw hadyet to be claimed.

  • Patrice came to claim his prize at Loto-Québec’s head office on the eve of his birthday and only a few days after taking his retirement.

  • The lucky winner says he plans to use his windfall to buy a new truck and go on hunting and fishing trips.
