Highlights
-
Jean-Daniel remembers leaning on the dryer to scratch the ticket. It was just before he was set to leave and meet up with his girlfriend. “When I saw that I had a number 11 with the words un million written underneath it... I think I must’ve checked and double-checked the ticket about 52 times—I just couldn’t believe it!” said the winner.
-
“It took a good half-hour for it to sink in that I’d actually won,” he added.
-
Jean-Daniel wasted no time in letting his girlfriend and parents in on the good news.
-
A trip to the West Coast is one thing he says he plans on treating himself to with his windfall.
-
It’ll also bring some financial security to the winner, who’s only just recently gone back to school.
