Carole typically checks her tickets at a retailer. When she got to the convenience store, an employee told her that the winning ticket for the $9,053,760 draw had been purchased in the region.
When she heard the terminal emit a winning sound and saw the dollar amount pop up on-screen, she suddenly realized the winning ticket belonged to none other than her.
“I instantly started crying tears of joy!” Carole confided.
Bursting with excitement, she immediately called her husband to tell him they were now multimillionaires thanks to Lotto 6/49.
Carole says she intends to use the windfall to move up her retirement date. The lucky couple say they’ll take some time to think about what else they want to do with the prize money.
