Montréal, February 3, 2020 – 2020 started off on a good note for Côte-Nord resident Jean Dugas, who took home the $1 million guaranteed prize in the January 15 Lotto 6/49 draw.

  • Jean bought a first ticket, which he misplaced. So, he bought another one.

  • After the draw, he compared the numbers on his ticket to the winning combination.

  • The numbers didn’t seem to match, but before throwing the ticket out, he had it validated at a retailer.

  • That’s when he learned that he was a millionaire!

  • On track to retire in two years, Jean will instead take it sooner! His spouse is planning a family trip to France.
