$1,000,000Estrie resident becomes a millionaire by playing online!

Montréal, October 18, 2019 – On October 4, Estrie resident Nicole Blais won $1 million playing Powerbucks™ Wheel of Fortune® Hawaiian Getaway on lotoquebec.com.

In summary

  • Game: Powerbucks™ Wheel of Fortune® Hawaiian Getaway
  • Prize: $1,000,000
  • Date of the win: October 4, 2019
  • Winner’s place of residence: Estrie
  • Claim date and place: October 11, 2019, at Loto-Québec’s head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • Nicole triggered the bonus wheel after placing only a few bets on Powerbucks™ Wheel of Fortune® Hawaiian Getaway.
  • She tried to see what amounts were up for grabs as the wheel spun around, but didn’t have time to see much, because the wheel quickly stopped on Powerbucks.
  • As she wondered what that meant, an animation surprised her and confirmed that she’d just won $1,000,000!
  • “Did I really just win $1 million? That can’t be. I can’t believe it!,” exclaimed the lucky winner.
  • Nicole quickly called customer service to confirm the win.
  • Once her spouse heard the big news, they realized that their dream would come true: They’d finally be able to get an RV to make their retirement even better.
  • After that purchase, they’ll let the dust settle before making other plans. “I’m a saver more than a spender!” she said with a smile as she accepted her cheque at Loto-Québec’s offices in Montréal.
