$125,000The best pooler in Québec lives in Centre‑du‑Québec!

Montréal, April 18, 2019 — Alexis Doyon, of Centre-du-Québec, is the big winner of Loto-Québec’s annual Mise-o-jeu Pool. He got his hands on $125,000!

In summary

  • Product: Annual Mise-o-jeu Pool
  • Prize: $125,000
  • Category: Grand prize
  • Winner’s place of residence: Centre-du-Québec
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • At the suggestion of one of his hockey pooler friends, Alexis formed his virtual team on poolmiseojeu.com, just one week before betting closed in October. At first, he just spent 20 minutes making his selections, but later he really took the time to analyze everything and rework his choices. He freely admits that he wouldn’t have had such a good season with his original picks.

  • In January, he was already at the top of the rankings. Then he bounced between the top five positions, until finally regaining the top position and staying put. Certain trades in the last few weeks of the season worked in his favour.

  • With only a three-point lead, Alexis won the 2018–2019 Mise-o-jeu Pool and walked away with a cheque for $125,000!

  • His wife now knows that the time he spent studying and planning his picks was a good investment after all! Alexis plans to buy a swimming pool with some of the money he won. Yup, a pool thanks to a pool!
