Montréal, January 9, 2019 – Montérégie resident Eva Papp won the $2,000,000 grand prize at the December 15 draw of Québec 49.

  • Ms. Papp has been playing the same numbers for years: her birthday and those of her five grandchildren.
  • The cashier who validated the winning ticket jumped for joy and gave a big hug to Ms. Papp, a regular customer at the drugstore.
  • When the lucky winner told her daughters the good news, they didn’t believe her. Ms. Papp has been on a roll for several weeks, having won $60 at the bowling alley as well as tickets for the show Corteo. Her daughters didn’t think she could possibly win something yet again.
  • She plans on pampering herself and her children.


  • “I’m on a winning streak!” exclaimed the lucky winner while at Loto-Québec offices.
