$1,000,000An Ontario woman wins the PowerbucksTM jackpot at the Casino du Lac‑Leamy

Montréal, February 26 – On Monday, February 25, at around 11:30 a.m., an Ottawa woman playing the Powerbucks™ slot machine at the Casino du Lac-Leamy scored the $1,000,000 jackpot.

In summary

  • Slot machine: PowerbucksTM
  • Win date: February 25, 2019
  • Winnings: $1,000,000
  • Winner’s place of residence: Ottawa
  • Claim date and location: February 25, 2019 at the Casino du Lac-Leamy

 Powerbucks™

  • Powerbucks™, which is popular and available to play in other Canadian provinces, offers a progressive jackpot that starts at $1 million, as well as a ‘fixed’ jackpot of $1 million. It was introduced on lotoquebec.com and at Québec’s casinos and gaming halls in 2017.

  • Powerbucks is innovative, as it links the online and casino slots, and connects Quebec players to those in British Columbia and Manitoba.

  • As such, the large pool of players from all three provinces wagering online and in-casino makes the progressive jackpot grow quickly. The minimum bet is set at only 50¢.

  • Since 2016, slot players on lotoquebec.com and at Québec’s casinos have won 9 prizes of $1M or more and 3 lifetime annuities.

One lucky winner will be crowned, among all entries received at Québec’s four casinos during the promotion period.
