Montréal, April 30, 2019 — Outaouais residents Chantal Therrien and Michel Gauvreau pocketed a cool $1,000,000, i.e. one half of the Québec 49 grand prize, during the November 14, 2018, draw.

In summary

  • Lottery: Québec 49
  • Prize: $1,000,000
  • Category: Grand prize
  • Draw date: November 14, 2018
  • Winners’ place of residence: Outaouais
  • Retailer: Dépanneur Sharon (15 Boulevard Lucerne, Gatineau)
  • The retailer will receive a $10,000 commission, equal to 1% of the prize.
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • Chantal and Michel have been together for many years. “We do everything together!” Michel said during his visit to Loto-Québec’s winners’ lounge.

  • Chantal plays Lotto Max and Lotto 6/49 on the regular. She also sometimes plays Québec 49 and Extra.

  • The couple have been playing the same numbers for 30 years, and it was that very combination that led to their huge win in November.

  • After watching a TV report on unclaimed prizes, Chantal checked her lotto tickets. That’s when she found out they’d won a share of the grand prize.

  • The couple plans to move, and buy a property on a large plot of land where they can fish nearby.
