When she said that she had especially prepared his ticket, he changed his mind. Happily for him, he made the right choice.
• He only scratched his ticket when he arrived home at the end of his work day.
• Mr. DiCarlo checked his ticket using the self-serve ticket checker and said his legs got shaky when he saw the amount. He immediately went to see his son, who had just lost his job, to show him the ticket. His son began to cry tears of joy.
• He feels relieved at the fact that he can now pay off his mortgage and bills, help his children and thank those who have helped him in the past.
