$1,000,000Lotto Max: A group of co-workers split a Maxmillions prize!

Montréal, May 30, 2018 – Seven Lanaudière co-workers won $1,000,000 at the May 18 Lotto Max draw. The winners are:

  • Chantal Beaulieu
  • Normand Bélanger
  • Serge Clermont
  • Suzanne Côté (group leader)
  • Hélène Hébert
  • Renée Murray
  • Sylvie Porlier

In short

  • Lottery: Lotto Max
  • Prize won: $1,000,000
  • Category: Maxmillions
  • Draw date: May 18 2018
  • Winner’s place of residence: Lanaudière
  • Retailer: Jean Coutu (910 Boulevard Iberville, Repentigny)
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s head office in Montréal

Highlights

  • Ms. Côté, the group leader, and the six other members of the group came to Loto-Québec in a limousine, totally energized!
  • The group is composed of people how have been members for a long time and others who were added more recently.
  • Ms. Côté checked the ticket two days after the draw, just before heading out to work.
  • Since she was bewildered by the ticket checker screen, she asked the retailer to validate the ticket on the terminal.
  • The terminal began to chime, and the retailer told her: “You won a million dollars!”
  • Ms. Côté replied: “Are you kidding me?”
  • With butterflies and weak knees, the group leader met up with her spouse and went to her place of work. Only three members of the group were there that morning.
  • After the morning briefing, their boss asked them if anyone had anything to add. Ms. Côté stood up, took the two other group members by the hand and said: “You are working with million-dollar winners!”
  • Many plans in view: a trip to Italy, renovations, an extended vacation in Florida, the purchase of a condo and retirement.
