$277,500A Lanaudière resident wins a record amount at Quotidienne 4

Montréal, June 1, 2018 – On May 11, Gaston Bureau won $277,500, the biggest prize ever awarded at Quotidenne 4. Luck struck twice as this Lanaudière resident played the same combination twice on the same day.

In short

  • Lottery: Quotidienne 4 (tickets purchased online and at a retailer)
  • Prize won: $277,500
  • Draw date: May 11, 2018
  • Winner’s place of residence: Lanaudière
  • Retailer: Dépanneur Mascouche (2843, chemin Sainte-Marie, Mascouche)
  • Claim centre: Loto-Québec’s head office in Montréal

  • A former fan of Quotidienne 3, Mr. Bureau now regularly plays his new favourite lottery Quotidienne 4 online at lotoquebec.com.
  • For the draw of May 11, he bought two $20 tickets: one ticket betting $10 twice on his series of numbers in order and another ticket betting $10 on the same numbers in order and in random order.
  • Thinking he had forgotten to buy his tickets, Mr. Bureau bought two more tickets from at the grocery store. He purchased the same tickets with the same wagers as he had purchased online.
  • He only realized the extent of his winnings when he arrived at the office.
  • His spouse was the first to hear the good news.
  • Mr. Bureau plans on using his winnings to pay off his mortgage and realizing his dream of opening a chocolate factory.

  • “Unbelievable… It’s rare to win twice. You really have to be lucky!” said Mr. Bureau when he came to claim his winnings at the Montréal prize claim office.
  • “I will be back one day, that’s for sure!” said the lucky winner, convinced that he will win again.
