Montréal, July 6, 2018 – Denis Riopel, from the Lanaudière area, won the $7 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot in the June 23 draw.

  • Mr. Riopel is an old-hand at the lottery. He always places two bets, one with a combination of his lucky numbers (always the same ones) and the other is a Quick Play. It’s the Quick Play that brought in the $7 million.
  • Accompanied by his family when he picked up his cheque, he said he would treat his two grandchildren.
  • He will also retire early and either buy a new home or have one built to his liking.
  • “Hurray for Quick Plays!” said the winner, who will continue playing in the same way.
