Gagnant à vieA second winner of $1,000 a day for life!

Grande Vie becomes more and more popular in Québec

Montréal, March 23, 2017 – Laval resident Nicole Dulude pocketed the Grande Vie grand prize of $1,000 a day for life at the March 13 draw. She opted for the $7,000,000 lump sum which she chose to share with her son and her spouse, Stéphane Dulude and Robert Hayeur. Since it was launched, Grande Vie has had several winners in the province, including two grand prize winners and nearly a dozen winners of the secondary prize, a lifetime annuity of $25,000 a year (or a lump sum of $500,000).

Grande Vie: A popular lottery that has been generous to Quebecers
• Launched on October 20, 2016, Grande Vie offers a grand prize of $1,000 a day for life. Winners can also opt for a lump sum of $7,000,000.
• The secondary prize is a lifetime annuity of $25,000 a year. Winners can also opt for a lump sum of $500,000.
• Quebecers are particularly fond of lifetime annuity lotteries like Grande Vie and the scratch ticket Gagnant à vie!
• Québec’s share in Grande Vie sales among all other Canadian lottery jurisdictions combined stood at 37%, as of the last draw. In comparison, Québec’s share for Lotto 6/49, a lottery with the same price point offering similar odds of winning, stands at approximately 22%, historically.*

*Note that Lotto 6/49 is offered throughout Canada and that Grande Vie is only available in 4 of the 5 Canadian lottery jurisdictions, which could influence market share percentages.

• “My four-hour shift seemed like 24! But I enjoyed pretended like nothing had happened when everyone was talking about the Grande Vie grand prize being won in Québec the day before,” added Ms. Dulude.
