Extra$1,000,000 - A new millionaire in Laval

Montréal, November 9, 2016 – Laval resident Chanthavong Phanyaluck had to check his ticket three times before he was able to convince himself that he had actually won the grand prize of $1,000,000 at the October 28 draw of Extra.

Summary
• Lottery: Extra
• Prize won: $1,000,000
• Category: grand prize
• Draw date: October 28, 2016
• Winner’s place of residence: Laval
• Retailer: Marché Turenne (4880 Boulevard Sainte-Rose, Laval)
• The retailer will receive a $10,000 commission, equal to 1% of the prize.
• Claim centre: Loto-Québec headquarters in Montréal

Highlights
• Mr. Phanyaluck checked his Extra ticket twice at a self-serve ticket checker. In disbelief he asked for a copy of the draw results from his retailer. Then, he returned home to check his ticket a third time. He couldn’t believe that he had become a millionaire.
• The winner doesn’t usually rush to check his lottery tickets. This time, he did. Happily!
• He came to claim his million in the company of two close friends. They are the ones who got him playing the lottery a decade ago.
• The winner plans on buying a house and making a few investments.
• Mr. Phanyaluck can now realize his dream of going back to school to become a computer technician.
