FestivalLoto-Québec launches the festival season!

Montréal, June 16, 2016 – With summer just around the corner, Loto-Québec declares festival season officially open! For the occasion, Lucie Lamoureux, Director of Social Commitment at Loto-Québec, gave an overview of the Corporation's involvement with players from Québec's event scene all summer long, all over the province:

• Pierre-Luc Boisvert, Co-Founder of Festival de la poutine de Drummondville and bassist for Les Trois Accords

• Sylvain Parent-Bédard, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of QuébéComm and of the ComediHa! festival in Québec City

• Jacques-André Dupont, Chief Executive Officer of L’Équipe Spectra (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Les FrancoFolies de Montréal and MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE)

• Martin Roy, Chief Executive Officer of Regroupement des événements majeurs internationaux (RÉMI).

Highlights
• The fact that Loto-Québec is one of the main sponsors for events in Québec is no coincidence. The Corporation supports some 80 events all across the province. This summer, it is investing close to $10 million in the community.

• A new entertainment experience 2.0 will be deployed and available to festivalgoers starting July 7: #DansLeNuage will be launched at the Festival d’été de Québec. Then, on other festival sites—Just for Laughs, Osheaga, ÎleSoniq, Heavy MTL and Festival Mode & Design—the “memory catcher” will be taking pictures and videos, and festivalgoers will be invited to share them on their social media using a tablet. Selfie time!

• The Casinos du Québec are also joining in the festivities with The fun continues at the Casino, offering activities that are directly linked to some major events in their respective regions. Visitors can therefore continue to enjoy their summer evenings with free concerts exclusive games and promotions in restaurants and bars.

Loto-Québec Quote
“Loto-Québec offers a world of entertainment. Our partnership with unifying events is part of the concrete actions we take to be among people. The public can therefore take part in high-quality festivities, at little to no cost”, says Lucie Lamoureux, Director of Social Commitment at Loto-Québec.

Partners' quotes
“Les rendez-vous Loto-Québec have been with us since our sixth edition. They have allowed our festival to grow and enhance its infrastructures and programming. Our partners come again and again because it is a serious organization, and longevity is only possible with such partnerships,” explains Pierre-Luc Boisvert, Co-Founder of Festival de la poutine de Drummondville and bassist for Les Trois Accords.

“For us, having the support of a major partner such as Loto-Québec allows our organization to soar. This partnership allows us to continue our cultural and event-driven mission in order to achieve major economic spinoffs for Québec,” says Chief Executive Officer for the ComediHa! festival, Sylvain Parent-Bédard.

“For cultural event organizers like us, Loto-Québec brings extraordinary means that allow us to fully express our creativity and that of the artists who work with us,” Jacques-André Dupont, Chief Executive Officer of L’Équipe Spectra, mentioned.

“In a sense, Loto-Québec has made history, contributing to the development of sponsorship in Québec, because it has always been there and ahead of the game in how it operates and measures sponsorships. Through our partnerships, supported events have a true ally, allowing them to offer a better product and improved programming,” adds Martin Roy, Chief Executive Officer of RÉMI.

A world of entertainment
A partner of Québec entertainment, Loto Québec chooses events to sponsor based on their ability to attract tourists and their potential social and economic spinoffs. Les rendez-vous Loto-Québec include more than 80 events across Québec, and the spinoffs benefit the entire community.
