Montréal, December 8, 2016 – December gets off to a roaring start in Québec with two Lotto 6/49 jackpot wins in as many draws. The winning ticket was purchased in Vaudreuil-Dorion. That’s a nifty sum of $5,000,000 prize, just in time for Christmas!
Last week, four prizes of a million dollars or more were won in Québec at draws held on Saturday, December 3:
• Half of the Lotto 6/49 jackpot ($12.37M): ticket purchased in the Outaouais region (winner still unknown)
• Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize ($1M): ticket purchased in Montréal
• Québec 49 grand prize ($2M): ticket purchased in Sherbrooke (winner still unknown)
• Extra (1 M$) : ticket purchased in the Montérégie region

Quotes
• “Québec residents have been quite lucky over the past month, raking in 75% of all of Canada’s Lotto 6/49 jackpots despite only 22% of the market share going to Loto-Québec,” stated Richard Trudel, Director of Draws and Customer Service at Loto-Québec.
• “We are thrilled for the new millionaires and hope to welcome them soon!” he added.
