• Prize won: $1,000 a week for life
• Category: Grand prize

Reactions
• Mr. Laferrière usually buys a few lottery tickets when he gets gas, without choosing one in particular.
• He won’t regret choosing a Gagnant à vie! ticket at his last visit to the gas station.
• He scratched the ticket at his parents’ house and began to cry out “I won! I won!” as he uncovered the three “Vie” symbols.
• Mr. Laferrière’s parents thought their son was mistaken, which was not the case!
• Just weeks before his wedding, the winner says the timing couldn’t be better, since he is in the market for a new home.

Quote
• “The winner had stars in his eyes when I confirmed that Gagnant à vie! was truly paid out for one’s whole, entire life!” said Marie-Josée Laplante, of Loto-Québec’s customer service department.
