Events and festivals
As a partner in Québec’s entertainment industry, Loto‑Québec supports events that are selected based on their potential for drawing tourists and generating social and economic spin-offs for communities, as well as on actions taken to reduce their impact on the environment.
Events that also complement our entertainment offerings or can be added to programming in our gaming establishments are also considered.

Criteria for Loto‑Québec sponsorship
To be considered, the event must meet certain criteria.
1. Category
The event must take place mainly outdoors, may have a “festival” format and have been held at least three previous times.
2. Social responsibility and community impact
Through its support of industry events, festivals and stakeholders that have committed to a sustainable development process, Loto-Québec wishes to contribute to growing and democratizing entertainment and culture. Supported events must, therefore, bring people together, generate significant social and economic spin-offs for the community and have a minimum impact on the environment.
The corporation added eco-conditionality criteria to its sponsorship granting and management processes in 2021. The sponsorship request form now outlines the practices that organizers are expected to implement throughout the agreement period for events that are part of Les Rendez‑vous Loto‑Québec.

3. Potential for programming
In areas served by a gaming hall, the event should have strong potential for added-value programming relating to the establishment’s entertainment offerings.
Exclusions
Our sponsorship program does not support:
- Individuals or teams
- Activities or events focusing on children’s entertainment
- Religious or political groups or associations
- Fundraising campaigns, personal projects, cultural trips or cooperative missions
- Golf tournaments

Please note that we are no longer taking sponsorship requests for events taking place between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
The next submission period for sponsorship requests will run from September 15, to November 15, 2024, for events taking place between April 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025.
