Montréal, October 21, 2026 – Lanaudière resident Guylaine Fafard took home $1,000,000 in the September 23 Lotto 6/49 draw. She’d purchased her ticket on the Loto-Québec gaming website.
Highlights
- The day after the draw, Guylaine Fafard logged in to her online gaming account. “I clicked on my ticket, and all I saw were zeros. I thought to myself, ‘Wait a minute, that can’t be right!’”
- She opened and closed the app several times before finally accepting the truth: her ticket really was worth $1 million.
- Guylaine and her sister had always promised each other they’d share if either of them ever won big in the lottery. Her sister had even joked, “If you win before I do, make sure I’m sitting down before you share the news!”
- The two sisters are planning a trip together to celebrate their big win!
