Montréal, October 29, 2026 — A group of 10 people shared $1,000,000 in the Québec Max draw on October 2. The winners all bought their Formule groupe tickets at the Brunet Plus Pharmacy in downtown Victoriaville, and some of them have great stories about winning!

Highlights

  • Higher than expected prizes:René Lacombe and Lucie Morin both had the same experience when they had their respective tickets validated at a retailer. At first, the two winners thought they would have to divvy up the amount displayed on the self-service kiosk, estimating their portion at $10,000, but the $100,000 prize posted was their own share! Meanwhile, Denise Lafontaine Brulé was at her appointment at Loto-Québec Head Office when she discovered that she would walk away with $100,000 rather than $10,000.
  • Family happiness: When Marjolaine Boily found out how much she had won, she immediately called her two daughters to tell them the good news. One of them rushed to join her mother, who was crying tears of joy. Josée Beaudet also reacted fast when she realized she had won, taking a snapshot of her cellphone screen when the $100,000 was displayed and sending it immediately to her family.“We’re really happy for our mother!” said one of her children. Florent Provencher won his share of the prize through a free play. It was his wife who discovered that she had earned him a prize of $100,000, news they celebrated on the family discussion thread.
  • A pair of new boots: It was during a shopping trip with her sister that Claudette Dodier Labrecque learned she had won $100,000. “I just kept shopping and bought a beautiful pair of boots. I didn’t even look at the price!” she said, laughing.
  • Promising plans: The winners have all made plans for the future. Lucie will move to be closer to her family and help her granddaughter, who is finishing her university studies. Florent will also give his grandchildren a hand up, “to help them in life.” Guy Rondeau wants to do something special for his loved ones, as does Marjolaine, who plans to pamper her daughters. Claudette, who has the same thing in mind, will also use her prize to take a few holidays.
