“Coco, we’re millionaires!”His dog was the first to hear the news of his $1,000,000 Lotto Max win
Montréal, May 29, 2026 – Enrico Rodella, who lives in Montérégie, won $1,000,000 in the May 8 Lotto Max draw. “I looked at my dog and said, ‘Coco, we’re millionaires!’ and he responded with ‘Woof! Woof!’” he chuckled, recalling the moment.
Highlights
- Enrico was in disbelief as he checked his Lotto Max ticket the day after the draw. “I went over my ticket three times, and each time it showed I’d won $1 million,” he shared.
- After breaking the news to Coco, Enrico phoned his daughter to share the excitement, but she was initially skeptical. “I really have won a million dollars!” he insisted.
- His daughter, who was with him when he came to pick up his cheque, admitted, “I didn’t fully believe him until we arrived at the Loto-Québec head office.”
- During the emotional cheque presentation, Enrico hugged his daughter, expressing his desire to use his windfall to, above all else, spoil her. No doubt Coco will be spoiled, too!
The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Alex Monsef, located at 99 Montée des Bouleaux, in Saint-Constant. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
