Montréal, May 2, 2024 — Montréal resident Robert Gareau was in for a big surprise when he checked his Grande Vie ticket: he’d won $1000 a day for life in the April 25 draw!

- Gareau has been playing Grande Vie for many years. “I like the idea of winning $1,000 a day for life; it’s fun!”
- The astrology enthusiast writes astrology columns for newspapers and magazines.
- The night owl, who loves watching the stars, checked the draw results in the middle of the night and couldn’t go back to sleep.
- Gareau plans to use his windfall to buy a condo and a convertible New Beetle car, a model he’s already owned twice. He’d also like to purchase telescope to continue looking at the stars!
The winning ticket was purchased at the Marché Express convenience store at 1371 Grande Allée in Terrebonne. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $70,000.

The Grande Vie top prize was won twice in Québec over the last few months, the previous win being in the December 28 draw. Sisters Manon and Maryse Gaudreau from Estrie shared the $7,000,000 lump sum prize.
