Montréal, June 14, 2024 — Montérégie resident Denis Kenty went through the full range of emotions when he found out, 20 days later, that he’d won $1,000,000 in the Québec Max May 7 draw. But before he expressed them all, he thought of a small detail, “I closed the windows so nobody would hear me lose it!”

Highlights
- After getting up, Kenty checked a few lottery tickets while taking his coffee. A few small wins later, he checked his Double Jeu Max ticket and saw he’d won a million dollars with his Québec Max play. “It wakes you up better than a coffee!” he said.
- “When I buy lottery tickets, I often put them in my wallet. I’d won 20 days earlier and didn’t even know it,” the lucky winner added with a little smile.
- The new millionaire plans to realize several projects, including one related to his passion: “I’m changing motorcycles; that’s for sure!”
The winning ticket was purchased at the Dépanneur Proprio in Saint-Amable. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
