Lotto Max“We started counting the zeros and realized we’d won $1,000,000!”

Montréal, July 3, 2024 — Montréal residents Chen Chen Zhang and Jung Eun Han took home $1,000,000 in the June 14 Lotto Max draw. Zhang discovered the win when he checked his ticket with the Lotteries app. When he shared the news with his wife, she didn’t believe him. “He came to see me and told me we’d won. Of course, I didn’t believe him because he always makes that joke.”

Han said she froze when she saw the amount on her husband’s phone. The couple plan to use their windfall to pay off their mortgage and spoil themselves.

The winning ticket was purchased at Dépanneur Rachel on Rue Rachel Est in Montréal. The retailer will receive a 1% commission of $10,000.
