Les rendez-vous Loto-QuébecJoin us this winter
Montréal, January 18, 2024 – Festival-goers will have plenty of opportunities to get together and warm up this winter thanks to Les rendez-vous Loto-Québec! The corporation is pleased to support four major winter events in Montréal and Quebec City:
- Igloofest Montréal from January 18 to February 10
- Quebec Winter Carnival from January 25 to February 11
- MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE from February 29 to March 10
- Igloofest Quebec from March 7 to 9
“Giving back to the community is part of Loto-Québec’s DNA,” says Benoit Lefrançois, Corporate Vice-President of Responsible Gambling, Communications and Social Responsibility at Loto-Québec. “We’re proud to be one of the main partners of events, all year long, that bring people together across Québec and benefit the entire community.”
Unique events to celebrate winter
In Montréal or Quebec City, Igloofest lets people take back the Québec winter in a warm and festive atmosphere, while the best local electronic music artists and big international names take to the stage.
A true winter event pioneer, the Quebec Winter Carnival is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year. The public is invited to the Loto-Québec Zone to visit Bonhomme’s majestic ice palace and enjoy five exhilarating musical evenings.
During MONTRÉAL EN LUMIÈRE, Esplanade Tranquille becomes Place Loto-Québec, a must-see gathering place. The Loto-Québec Ferris Wheel also promises breathtaking views of the city.
Increasingly responsible sponsorship
For several years, Loto-Québec has been helping organizers of the events it sponsors minimize those events’ environmental impact. The corporation is therefore very proud to highlight the actions taken in this direction.
The Carnival has numerous measures in place, including making it easier to travel to and from the site (shuttles, winter bicycles) and reducing plastic use. Similarly, Igloofest is committed to operating in the most sustainable way possible, economically, socially and environmentally.
