Montréal, February 25, 2024 — The record La Poule aux œufs d’or jackpot was finally won after over one year during the February 25, 2024, episode! Terrebonne retiree Jacques Sénécal took home the record $1,527,000 prize.
Highlights
- Sénécal got a double in the jeu des roulettes and won $2,000 in the Machine à Poule bonus game. Having won three eggs when the doors opened at the start, he moved on to the next stage directly.
- Sénécal chose egg number 7, which contained the record prize of $1,525,000. This whopping sum was added to the amount he had already won, bringing his total windfall to $1,527,000. It’s the biggest jackpot ever awarded at the La Poule aux œufs d’or show!
- The lucky winner plans to rent a cottage on Prince Edward Island and travel with his family.
- The winning ticket was purchased at the Familiprix pharmacy at 4790 Rue d’Angora in Terrebonne.

- The jackpot for La Poule aux œufs d’or hadn’t been won since October 25, 2022. It stood at a record $1,525,000.
- That said, all contestants on the show are guaranteed a prize. Since the show’s launch in 1993, over 9,500 contestants have collectively won over $290 million in prizes!
