Montréal, February 27, 2024 — For the period from April 1 to December 25, 2023, Loto-Québec posted total revenues of $2.111B and a net income of $1.076B. The corporation has, therefore, met its objectives despite an economic context that keeps putting pressure on Quebecers’ discretionary dollars.

Sound management remains a priority across all organization sectors, which will further their efforts to continue meeting the targets by the end of the fiscal year.

RESULTS BY SECTOR
For the period from April 1 to December 25, 2023

• Lottery product sector revenues amounted to $668.8M.

• Casino and gaming hall sector revenues amounted to $797.9M.

• Gaming establishment sector revenues amounted to $659.3M.

QUARTERLY HIGHLIGHTS AND CSR CONTRIBUTIONS
 

• Since the beginning of the fiscal year, Loto-Québec has paid out 69 prizes of $1M or more to lottery winners, 21 of which were awarded during the quarter. The total amount paid out to lottery, network bingo and Kinzo winners over the third quarter was $389.2M. The overall amount stands at $1.136B since the beginning of the fiscal year.

• On December 18, Loto-Québec announced the construction of a 200-room hotel on the grounds of the Casino de Montréal, which will preserve the environment and the unique character of Parc Jean-Drapeau. Several industry partners and representatives of various levels of government were in attendance.

• In collaboration with Moment Factory, Loto-Québec launched ARcade, a one-of-a-kind interactive experience, at the Casino de Montréal. The first floor of the Pavillon du Québec was entirely refurbished to offer guests a skills-based, non-gambling gaming option.

• Loto-Québec achieved, once again, the World Lottery Association’s highest level of accreditation in responsible gambling—Level 4.

• Several charity initiatives stood out last fall across all sectors of the corporation, enabling it to award significant sums to several non-profit organizations as part of the Giving Back Is a Win-Win Program.
