Montréal, March 28, 2022 — Carole Barras Carrier and Marc Carrier, who live in Chaudière-Appalaches, won a Maxmillions prize worth $1,000,000 in the March 15 Lotto Max draw.
Marc was the first to make the realization when he looked up the draw results. Unable to reach his spouse at the time, he called his son and asked him to double-check whether the numbers on his ticket truly matched the draw results. They did!
The winners say they plan to use their windfall to renovate their home, buy a car, finance a comfortable retirement, and treat their two children.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Couche-Tard convenience store on Boulevard Alphonse-Desjardins in Lévis. The retailer will receive a commission equal to 1% of the overall prize, i.e. $10,000.
