Montréal, March 12, 2020 – Johanne Rivest and Serge Faillant, a couple living in the Lanaudière region, took home $1 million in the February 25 Québec Max draw. The lucky couple will be retiring earlier than expected!

Highlights

• The couple had their ticket validated at the grocery store during a very busy shopping period.

• When the terminal chimed to announce that a major prize had been won, Johanne counted the zeros and started to cry, and so did the cashier. Customers around them applauded the couple’s good fortune.

• As new grandparents awaiting yet another grandchild, the couple decided to give their daughter the family home and have a smaller one built next door for themselves.
