Montréal, January 15, 2020 – Bas-Saint-Laurent resident Roger Barriault took home $1 million in the December 31 Lotto Max draw. The lucky winner started off the year with a bang by discovering his win during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Highlights

• Roger was celebrating with his family on New Year’s Eve when he decided to check his Lotto Max ticket using Loto-Québec’s Lotteries app.

• He was stunned to see the impressive $1,000,000 appear on his cell screen. “My body temperature went up. I just couldn’t believe it!” said the new millionaire.

• He happily told his family the good news, which certainly cranked up the festivities.

• Back home, Roger and his spouse kept repeating: “We’re not dreaming... right? We’ve really won $1 million?”

• The winner plans to retire and have fun running his tractor around the woods. He would also like to replace his snowmobile.
