COVID-19Loto-Québec puts forth measures to demonstrate its solidarity with Quebecers

Montréal, April 23, 2020 — Loto-Québec has put forth measures to contribute to the collective effort and support its customers, its partners and all Quebecers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

In addition to the many measures taken over the past two weeks, Loto-Québec has decided to freeze the salaries of its upper management and other managerial personnel for the 2020–2021 fiscal year. What’s more, it has announced that the payment of variable compensation related to the 2019–2020 performance (for non-unionized and non-tipped staff eligible for a bonus), which is part of their total compensation, will be deferred until the second quarter of 2020–2021.

The following measures have been put forth by Loto-Québec since the beginning of the pandemic:

$1,000,000 donation to Québec’s Moisson food banks

Donation of masks and disinfectants to the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux

Over 35,000 meals distributed to those in need in a partnership with La Tablée des Chefs through Les Cuisines Solidaires project

Continued support for all its sponsored events

Closure of gaming establishments and suspension of lottery sales at retail outlets

In the current context, which has proved difficult for many Quebecers, Loto-Québec is hoping that the measures it has put forth will contribute to the collective effort and to supporting the most vulnerable.
