Montréal, October 29, 2019 — Montérégie couple Gilles and Nicole Dauplaise took home $1,000,000 in the September 18 Lotto 6/49 draw. The winning ticket had sat in their car for weeks before the couple got around to checking it and finding out they won.

“My eyes saw $1,000,000 pop up on the monitor, but my head couldn’t quite believe it,” she confided.

When Nicole got back home, she was so shaken than Gilles thought she’d been in some sort of accident. He would never have guessed that they’d won such a hefty sum.

The couple says they intend to celebrate their windfall by purchasing an RV.
