Highlights

  • Every week, Richard plays the lottery; he buys a Lotto 6/49 along with Québec 49 and the Extra.
  • When he checked his ticket early on the morning after the draw, he immediately woke his spouse to tell her the good news, even if she wanted to sleep in that day.
  • Richard checked the numbers several times and his spouse called her sister to ask her to check the results in the newspaper.
  • Richard even texted his brother who was attending a wedding out of town: “Call me,” followed by a second text: “I’m a millionaire!”
  • His brother called back, yelling: “What?”
  • Dead calm, the lucky man answered: “I just won $2 million.”
  • The entire wedding party cried out and started jumping around. “My mother-in-law was crying,” said the multimillionaire’s brother.
  • Even as he held the cheque in his hand, Richard couldn’t believe his luck.
  • Although he’ll take his time to get used to everything, he’s already planning to treat his family and take a trip with his spouse.
