La Malbaie, October 26, 2019 — A Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean resident in his fifties who was visiting the Charlevoix region with his family had a remarkable stroke of luck on Friday, October 25, when, with a $2.25 bet, he hit a Powerbucks slot machine’s $1,196,769 jackpot—the biggest ever jackpot win at the Casino de Charlevoix!

Despite the rush of emotion, the new retiree—who has chosen to remain anonymous—kept his cool. He was invited to celebrate his historic win in the Casino’s private lounge with the Casino’s team.
