$113,951Pots O’Luck: Awake and dreaming

Montréal, May 23, 2019 – On April 28, Montréal resident Benedicta Oliveira pocketed $113,951 while playing Pots O’Luck on Loto-Québec’s online gaming website, lotoquebec.com.

In short

  • Lottery: Pots O’Luck
  • Prize won: $113,951
  • Winner’s place of residence: Montréal

  • Benedicta Oliveira was sitting in bed with her laptop, her partner fast asleep, when she won a $113,951 progressive jackpot while playing Pots O’Luck.

  • When she saw the amount on the screen, she burst out, “I won, I won!” At the time, her partner thought he was dreaming. When the pair went to pick up the prize money on May 2 at Loto‑Québec’s head office in Montréal, he joked, “I think the dog believed you before I did!” All smiles, Benedicta said that even she’d had trouble believing her own eyes, but that she was ecstatic!

  • Having just bought a house, the lucky couple plans to have their backyard landscaped. They had already envisioned redoing the deck, but now they’ll be able to take things a step further. “We could pay someone to plant cedars!” said Benedicta’s partner, laughing. You can bet they’re gonna have a great summer!
