• Nancy Pelletier was chatting on the phone with her spouse while playing Rumble in the Jungle online. Earning a bonus round, she just continued her conversation. At some point, she realized that, this time, the bonus round produced a win: three yellow bananas meant that she had won the $264,367 progressive jackpot.

• She interrupted what her spouse was saying to tell him she had just won: “Stop kidding around. You’re not funny,” he said, thinking she was just pulling his leg. “I was so used to seeing three black bananas that I could hardly believe they were yellow this time!”

• Nancy was still visibly moved as, surrounded by her family, she picked up her cheque at Loto-Québec’s offices in Montréal. “You just don’t immediately believe that you’ve won!” Nancy plans to retire soon and will use the money to pay some bills and treat herself a little.
