Montréal, April 9, 2019 — On the afternoon of Monday, April 8, Lanaudière resident Jocelyn Boismenu took home $1,000,000 through the Casino Montréal’s Gagnant à vie slot machine.

Moments before scooping the jackpot, Jocelyn had called his wife to say that he’d be on his way home soon. Just as he was leaving the Casino, he made a split-second decision to try his luck on the Gagnant à vie slot machine. After five minutes or so of playing, and a few bets in, he hit the jackpot!

An elated Jocelyn then called his wife back to tell her the good news.

The new millionaire, who owns an outfitting operation, says he plans to take a trip before the busy season hits, and in the meantime, enjoy the summer weather.

This is the 12th prize worth $1 million or more (or annuity) that a person has won online or in Québec’s casinos since 2016.
